One of the main concerns for anyone contemplating moving to another country is how you will support yourself once in the UK. Obviously if you are high net worth individual you can opt for the investor visa and if you are business minded even go with the Innovator visa but if you do not fit within one of these categories you will be looking to find work in the UK.
From January 1st 2021 there has been a significant change to the Tier 2 work visa (now Skilled worker) which means that companies no longer need to prove that they cannot fill a position from the local job market. This means that if you are qualified and a company has a sponsor license in place they can offer you a position to come and work in the UK. As part of this scheme you are also able to own up to 10% of the company that you go and work for meaning that you can also have a vested interested in the business that you join. In addition to your main job you are also able to work an additional 20 hours in a similar job and undertake any studies that you wish.
