UK Investor Visa Scheme

The UK Investor Visa has been in place for a number of years and offers a great opportunity for anyone looking to transfer to the UK through direct investment.

Investment can be made into any business that satisfies the Home Office guidelines or alternatively can be invested into a portfolio of listed companies or bonds. The key to the investment is that it must be held in place for the entire period of the visa although of course ROI and any profit can be utilized by the investor during this period.

The amount that you invest will reflect on how quickly you can apply for settlement and candidates under this route are free to work, study and set up other business in the UK.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the Investor visa the candidate must be able to invest at least £2m in the UK. The candidate must be able to prove that the funds belong to them and that they are free to be invested. In addition the candidate must also have a UK bank account setup to utilize the funds, a service that Geo Solutions can assist with setting up.

At Geo Solutions we will work with you to ensure that all of your documents are in order when applying for your investor visa. This includes your passport, proof of funds, valid investment vehicle and a criminal record certificate. There is NO English language requirement under this visa scheme. Depending on your location and circumstances additional documentation may be required and will ensure that all applicants comply as is required.

The spouse and children under the age of 18 are able to join the main applicant in the UK with the spouse and the main applicant being free to work and the children being eligible for schooling as is required.

Settlement for the whole family is achieved after 5 years if the applicant invests £2m, after 3 years with £5m investment and after 2 years with £10m investment.

To obtain ILR (settlement or indefinite leave to remain) each applicant must also not spend more than the allotted 180 days outside of the country in each year of the visa.

The applicants may apply for a UK passport after holding ILR for at least 1 year and after a total of 5 years. In order to be eligible for a UK passport applicants must also be able to demonstrate that they have not spent more than 450 days outside of the UK in the last 5 years.
